LANDSCAPE LABORER | CONSTRUCTION DIVISION

The landscape apprentice purpose within the Landscape Department – Construction Division of Gibson Landscape is to perform daily labor activities to support the successful Construction of exterior landscapes including trees, shrubs, groundcovers, seed and sod, irrigation, boulders, edging, soils, aggregate and pavers.  Landscape construction is a study in problem solving – the discipline of reaching an objective of purpose and importance.

Bringing together our teams to make reality of promises – owning and delivering the results trusting us with their greatest exterior investment – the landscape.  This exceptional individual or “A player” helps the team achieve the best results while maintaining efficient and effective work effort.

Responsibilities/Activities

1. Construction of projects of various types from mixed-use campus, medical and sports and entertainment while proper installation of trees, shrubs, sod etc in accordance to horticultural and company standards.
2. Operate hand tools and small hand-held equipment in a safe and efficient manner as guided by our company trainer.
3. Support Field Superintendent objectives as indicated to meet daily and weekly goals.
4. Demonstrate attention to detail.
5. Demonstrate flexibility to perform and complete duties when the workload or season requires it.
6. Confidentiality of Company, customer, supplier and employee information is maintained.

Minimum Qualifications & Educational Requirements

1. No experience is necessary but must NOT be afraid of work. Hard work in the heat and for extended periods of time.  This is Exterior Construction.
2. Education is preferred but not required.

El propósito del aprendiz de paisajista dentro del Departamento de Paisajismo – División de Construcción de Gibson Landscape es realizar actividades laborales diarias para apoyar la construcción exitosa de paisajes exteriores, incluidos árboles, arbustos, cubiertas vegetales, semillas y césped, riego, cantos rodados, bordes, suelos, agregados y adoquines. La construcción del paisaje es un estudio en la resolución de problemas, la disciplina de alcanzar un objetivo de propósito e importancia.

Responsabilidades/Actividades Construcción de proyectos de varios tipos, desde campus de uso mixto, médicos y deportivos y de entretenimiento, mientras que la instalación adecuada de árboles, arbustos, césped, etc. de acuerdo con los estándares hortícolas y de la empresa. Opere herramientas manuales y pequeños equipos manuales de manera segura y eficiente según las indicaciones de nuestro capacitador de la empresa. Apoyar los objetivos del Superintendente de Campo según se indique para cumplir con las metas diarias y semanales. Demuestra atención a los detalles. Demostrar flexibilidad para realizar y completar tareas cuando la carga de trabajo o la temporada lo requieran. Se mantiene la confidencialidad de la información de la Compañía, clientes, proveedores y empleados.
