CENTENNIAL OLYMPIC PARK
One fateful spring day in Atlanta, powerful tornadoes landed a direct blow to the downtown commercial center—blowing out windows in dozens of high-rise buildings while tossing trees, tumbling cars and severely damaging several city landmarks, including the CNN Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park.
Immediately after the storm, Centennial Olympic Park and the World Congress Center called on Team Gibson to lead all cleanup efforts and oversee returning the park to its original beauty. Gibson Landscape responded swiftly and mobilized teams from throughout the region as we coordinated the identification and subsequent removal of all glass-contaminated sod—while importing new soil and certified turfgrass.
Team Gibson is proud to have completed this unique and logistically challenging project within five days with no interruption to park services.
