MARTIN ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL

See Project Photos

Martin Army Community Hospital serves 90,000 active duty soldiers, family and retirees on its 25 acre medical campus.

Gibson Landscape developed and executed 6 acres of hardscape, landscape and water feature design while maintaining the guaranteed maximum price through four design stages, over 35 construction change directives and a 40 month build schedule. This LEED Silver, $408 million project was completed with the combined efforts of world-class engineers and builders.

Adopting National BIM Standards, we utilized native plantings and stonework including mature trees, flatwork, stone masonry, permeable pavement, exposed aggregate walks, grasspave firelane, pedestal pavers and specialty stacked stone. We installed 19,000 square feet of green roofing for TPO roofs. We created four water features including two natural streams, entry feature and a water wall 50 feet tall. We enhanced air quality with interior mill plantings and an irrigation system. We built an amphitheater at the heart of the campus with impressive views of the creek ecosystem.

This project was recently awarded ENR’s best regional healthcare project for the Southeast United States.
